Part of the Advanced Beginner's Chess Guide (Section 2)

Game 2, KW's Own Game Analysis, Attempting to Help GW Understand Control of the Center
[June 3rd 2011]

13. Ne5
Finally getting the outpost thematic of this opening, but too late. This move is also designed to attack the Nc6 and Bg6. This Knight also exerts influence over other light squares.

13. ... Nxe5
Removing yet another light square defender.

14. dxe5
Concentrating his pawns on the Kingside, the only chance White has for counterplay. fxe5 locks the center and opens a file for the attack, but the Black Rook is already on the file. Making this move would weaken a pawn attack.

14. ... Qh4+
Completing Black's development, connecting his Rooks and attacking the King. The Queen also supports a Knight excursion on f2 or g3. Black has taken advantage of the weakness on the dark squares on the Kingside. For the next while, Black is going to be attacking the dark squares.
